Under the guidance of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and after much prayer, Prayer Baptist Missions International (PBMI) was founded on February 14, 1989. As a recognized non-profit organization, our mission is singular and urgent: to come alongside Missionaries and Independent Baptist Churches with the burden to spread the gospel to every corner of the world.
We firmly believe that the local church holds the primary responsibility to send missionaries, and that mission agencies like ours exist solely to support this God-given mission. PBMI stands ready to unite Bible-believing, Independent Baptist Churches with dedicated, like-minded missionaries, committed to evangelizing the lost and establishing churches that uphold sound doctrine and biblical practice.

I am very proud to be associated with Prayer Baptist Mission International. The leadership honored me by making me an honorary member of the Mission, and I wear the Mission pin with pride.
It is my joy and privilege to teach at the Annual Mission School and can say that their missionaries are of the highest caliber. It is disappointing to see many Christian Schools and Mission Boards relaxing their standards. Prayer Baptist has not relaxed their doctrine nor their standards, and I feel that I can wholeheartedly endorse any of their missionaries. The men who make up the Board of Directors are united in assuring that the mission remain faithful to God and to His Word. I love Prayer Baptist Mission.
Freeing Missionaries to Serve
Prayer Baptist Missions International offers missionary support services to churches and missionaries at no charge. This approach aligns with the vision of spreading the gospel without financial barriers, but it does rely heavily on the partnership and financial backing of local churches.
The work of a mission board involves administrative tasks, coordinating resources, providing guidance, and caring for missionary families on the field and at home. Without support from churches, it becomes challenging to keep these services free, which could eventually mean additional costs to the missionaries.
By supporting the home office, churches enable Prayer Baptist Missions International to continue offering these vital services at no charge. It’s a unique ministry that lightens the financial load on missionaries, allowing them to focus more fully on their fieldwork without worrying about administrative costs. This partnership becomes a shared mission, allowing the home office and missionaries to advance the gospel as a united body.
